Newnham on Severn is a vibrant, historic village on the banks of the River Severn next to The Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. It is the first point where the famous Severn Bore can be easily seen as it starts its journey up the River Severn towards Gloucester.

The core of the village is designated as a Conservation Area. It is well known as an attractive village with much open space and wide ranging views of the River Severn.

One of the most famous views in Gloucestershire can be seen from Pleasant Stile – just up the Dean Road towards Littledean.
