Welcome to Newnham Garden Club.
We provide a forum for all gardeners in Newnham and the surrounding area.
We meet on the third Monday each month for talks at 7.30pm in the Armoury Village Hall and trips through the afternoon usually from 1.00pm so please check our program.
That program is varied and includes talks from specialists and professionals; summer trips to gardens; themed evenings and a Christmas party.
Two coffee mornings a year give you a chance to buy plants early in the year and produce later in the year and always provide a chance to seek advice about all things horticulture.
Our members range from beginners to well informed experts and everyone has a say in our constitution, what we get up to and who’s currently on the committee etc.
So, window box or estate, do come along and join us.

The 2025 AGM was very successful – if you would like to see the minutes please do not hesitate to get in touch. Also if you would like to join the garden club then it is £20 subscription for the year May to April. Our coffee morning and Plant Sale at St Peters Church in Newnham in May and coffee morning Produce Sale in October were both exceptionally successful with a busy couple of hours in beautiful weather both on the early bank holiday weekend and at the latter part of the year. We raised over £500 from the tea/coffee and plant sales in both events and this will be used to subsidise many of our trips this year. The committee’s thanks goes out to all those who donated help on the morning, cakes, plants and garden related stuff and to all those of you who attended.

Our last trip of the year is to Colesbourne Park on 16 Feb. It is an unusual start time of 1000 at the Riverside Car Park and the last talk of the year is on 16 Mar from Mary Fenton on Summertime in Western Scotland – all about wild flowers. Please feel free to join us for either of those events.
Our AGM will be held in April and it is then we will be collecting subs for the upcoming year.
At £20 for the year covering all the trips and the talks and often the tea and cake when we are at other gardens – it is a bargain!
We are friendly bunch and we love seeing new members at any time of the year! If you would like to see us in action you can attend one meeting at the Armoury Hall as a guest or attend one visit for the price of the garden entrance. Have a think as this beautiful weather continues!
